A personal message from our founder
It’s been quite the journey to navigate through the trials and tribulations of opening Geek-aboo in 2014. Straight outta Compton uni at just 23 years young, It would be quite the tale if I said that I knew what I was getting myself into, opening up a geek themed store full of wonder and excitement as you step in. A place for fellow travellers to feel inspired by creations, enjoy the delight of all things pop culture and take that moment to have a fuzzy warm nostalgic feeling when you happenchance upon a franchise that is dear to your heart.
Who would have thought that a financial crisis, Covid lockdowns, Brexit and The Tories would get in our way to having some fun?! With so much going on around us sometimes it’s these little escapes that give us a chance to breathe a sigh of relief and bring just that little bit of joy to our friends and loved ones.
A huge thank you to the team at Geek-aboo, everyone who has been there throughout the journey down the road to geek-dom. I value every moment and time the team have spent to creating a brand for all customers to enjoy. It's amazing to meet fellow nerds in the USA who have travelled to the UK and already know about Geek-aboo! Many have even visited our store already. It’s truly a blessing not having to explain much about it, as my team can also attest, I do like to go on and on and on and on…. Thank you all! /bow
